Goldeneye

******************************
2. General Tips
******************************

If you see a security camera, shoot it immediately and in the stealthiest form possible. If you don't and it sees you, then an unlimited rush of guards will start flowing in and an alarm will sound. How quickly the camera will spot you depends on the difficulty level you're playing on.

If you see an alarm button, (a small grey rectangle on a wall with a big red circle on it) shoot it immediately so guards can't activate it. Or, if you are mentally deranged, press B in front of it.

Stealth is better than strength. Use a silenced weapon whenever you can. Running out in the open with guns blazing is the quickest way to end your life in Goldeneye. This isn't Doom.

When using the sniper rifle you can alternate levels of zoom with C-Up and C-Down. For some reason, they don't have it on full zoom when you pick it up so always make sure to fix that.

Using the Control Stick in conjunction with the sidestepping move makes you go faster! Always use it when time's a problem.

If you go around a corner, sidestep so whatever you're facing can be dealt with immediately. Taking the extra second to turn around can be very costly.

Leaning is very effective! Leaning out and in is fast, and saves you a second when you need to reload or run away. That second sometimes makes a difference between life and death. It's also very effective if you must quickly fire a shot or two or chuck a grenade to cause some havoc.

Reload your weapon before going into battle. If you have one shot left in your clip, you can only fire one shot before you must take an extra second to reload.

You cannot fall off ledges in Goldeneye. Don't worry about getting too close to the edge.

Many guns share the same ammo type. Keep that in mind.

In multiplayer, put proximity mines on all the starting points so that when someone dies, they go boom as soon as they're back on their feet. This backfires if you die, but that comes with the job.
