Outlook: Well.....it’s a bowling game.
Not unlike any other bowling game. So....if you’re a fan of
bowling or bowling games I guess you should try it out. I don’t
really have an opinion one way or the other for this game. That’s
about it.
40 Winks by GT SOFTWARE
October 16, 2000
www.GTinteractive.com
Features:
Outlook: This is a game that’s been
delayed here to the point that most everyone has forgotten about it.
Does anyone care now? This has to be the most delayed game in
videogame history......aside from the long forgotten Robotech 64
*ahem* I won’t go there. If I remember correctly it was supposed
to come out a year and a half ago and has been scheduled for almost
every month since then. It may or may not come out this month but I
figured I’d list it just in case.
Looney Tunes - Taz Express
by Infogrames
October 16, 2000
www.infogrames.com

Features:
*The moves that only Taz can make - pick
up, carry and throw any object, jump on to skyscrapers, eat anything
that gets in your way, and destroy everything in your path with the
famous Taz spin.
*A unique 3D engine provides the first ever
truly interactive, "living" environment -- just about
everything in the game can be changed and interacted with.
*Looney Tunes spirit all the way - Wile E.
Coyote, Marvin The Martian and Yosemite Sam guest star in over 30
levels of fast, fun gameplay.
*A crazy adventure with 5 huge worlds to
explore - the Tasmanian Bushlands, Tasmanian City, Mars, Monument
Valley, and the Wild West.
*Save your game directly to the cartridge
due to the battery pack.
Outlook: Taz Express looks pretty neat. It
has Taz in it so it’s going to be entertaining in it’s own way
although I’m not sure how it will be on the gameplay side. The
best advice that I can give is that if you like the Looney Tunes and
Taz then it’s something worth checking out, otherwise maybe give
it a rent to see how you like it. It’s also had a few problems on
the publishing side lately so we’ll see if it even comes out.
CRUIS'N EXOTICA by MIDWAY
October 28, 2000
www.midway.com

Features:
*1 to 4 player non-stop racing action
*Exotica, Freestyle and Challenge Modes
*28 Exotic cars to race
*60 Tracks from around the world
*Classic Cruis'n gameplay and control
Outlook: It’s funny to me. The first
Cruis’N title on the system was in my opinion, garbage. And yet it
sold like there was no tomorrow. Then there was Cruis’N the World
which, yes, improved upon the first game but is there a need for a
sequel? There is one thing that I’ll give it, it looks a LOT
better than the previous ones and maybe midway will prove that the
third time is a charm. If arcade style racing is your thing then
keep an eye out for CRUIS’N Exotica!
