me this is a very close tie between two games that literally
made 2002 a great year in gaming for me. Those games are
Metroid Prime and Eternal Darkness. They are possibly two of
the best games I've ever played.
Eternal Darkness had its quirky story, using real events
from history such as Timur the Lame, World War II, etc. Oh,
and the insanity effects kicked-ass. The sound and music for
the game was also incredible.
And Metroid Prime for its revolutionary visor, morph ball,
and taking the Metroid series into 3-D.
But my vote went to Prime being as I loved it just a sliver
