"Once
again I must choose between Castlevania and Metroid, and
once again Metroid is the winner. If I had had to wait 8
years for Harmony while a handful of awesome Metroid games
came out, Castlevania would have gotten the nod, but as it
stands its Fusion all the way." - (J.
Michael Neal, PSGF Staff)
"One
of the toughest categories. GBA is the only platform that
had consistantly good titles all year. Tactics Ogre, and
SMBA3 were close, but Metroid takes my vote." -

"I
didn't get a chance to play a lot of GBA games this year
because I just recently purchased the system, but Fusion
gets my vote because it was one of the best I've played all
year on any system. The gameplay was fantastic, but what
really threw me was an interesting twist on the traditional
Metroid storyline. I can't wait to see what they do with the
next game!"

"How
can you beat SMA2? Still a classic, and the original Super
Mario can provide Multiplayer fun til the wee hours
(still!)."
- (Tikerman, NGF Staff)
"Castlevania!
I'm just patiently waiting for another one on par with
Symphony of the Night, and this one came VERY close."
