Konami's 10?
January 16, 2003

According to Japanese gaming site, Konami will soon unveil 10 new games in development for Nintendo GameCube.  The rumored titles include:

  • Contra: Shattered Soldier (port of the PS2 version)

  • Eclipse

  • Goemon

  • International Superstar Soccer 3

  • Metal Gear Solid Remake

  • Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (port)

  • Pro Evolution Soccer 3

  • Silent Hill 3

  • Turtles (Teenage?)

  • WTA Tennis 2004

While we generally shy away from printing rumors, this one does have some merit.  It's been rumored for a while that a remake of MGS was in development, and if MGS2: Substance is to be ported to the GameCube it would be beneficial to have it's predecessor on the system as well.  Additionally, Konami today re-confirmed that a TMNT game is under development and will be released on GameCube in October.  We've also expected a version of ISS to appear on the system for quite some time, given the success of the N64 versions.
