Everyone knew this was going to be a bad game. It pretty much sucked in the
arcades with its big floppy 3D button, its only new feature. Well, this is
the N64 version, and all Midway did was jazz the graphics up from completely
horrible to just bad. Like many people said, this is pretty much a really
early prototype of Mortal Kombat 4 (MK in 3D).
Well, anyways, the characters, while some do represent gods from myths (Anubis),
they look, well, goofy. They are even more Americanized the Mortal Kombat,
and some look like they came from the WCW (Kabuki Jo).
The control is better than the Playstation version thanks to analog stick,
yet it's very loose and is really hard to control in 3D. This game will sell
well from the fact that it is an N64 game, and all N64 games sell well (no
matter how bad, mediocre, terrible, worthless).
It could be like Cruis'n USA where a terrible game gets good sales records
and gets a sequel. Let's hope that Midway does its math and comes back with
a good sequel or at least an average one.
Overall: 2.0
