Christmas preparations and traditions...?

How are your Christmas preparations going?

What are your favourite traditions at this time of the year?

I'm completely behind (been away for 5 days)... and need to do more shopping yet... :yay: and I have so much baking I need to do. Plus organise a family lunch this coming weekend. I also need sleep (after very little during camping and then trying my hardest to break a toe-- it was an accident). :jump:

Our traditions include an advent calendar of kindness, decorating the tree and living room (and our individual areas) driving around and seeing the Christmas lights, making rumballs for friends, and Jólabókaflóð on Christmas Eve. Also, getting up early and checking if Santa visited, and breakfast after present opening. Then, visiting extended family and eating waaaay too much good food. :D
She lives in the clouds and talks to the birds...

I might play a Christmas-y kind of game or eat a Christmas cookie if I'm feeling particularly festive...

We like to drink a lot of eggnog and whiskey with a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg. Big on the big dinner on Christmas. I used to be more festive and everything with the lights but EH whatever.

I don't really have any Christmas traditions currently. I'd put up some lights or something if I had any, but considering I live by myself and don't feel that strongly about Christmas decorating to begin with, I don't feel a great need to go out and spend something just for my own mild amusement.

I do have some Christmas-y incense that I like to light (pine, cinnamon, etc.), but I do that year-round anyway.

not really a tradition, but every year i find myself listening to the Yandere Simulator Christmas songs far more than actual Christmas songs. Personal favorite:

I listen to the Christmas music I like. Like 'I Yust Go Nuts at Christmas', and 'The Hat I Got for Christmas is Too Beeg', and all of "Calypso Christmas" (especially 'Christmas in de Tropics' and 'A Present for Sallie'). Maybe some Mannheim Steamroller, if I'm feeling adventurous.

Also I post the clip of Snoopy skating at Rockefeller Center. It's good.

I've watched so much claymation Christmas specials and peanuts marathons in my life that I don't even turn on the TV in December. Give it a rest already Rudolph

Well, no Christmas-y game for me, my 3DS was stolen. Cool. Cookie it is. Maybe.
