Perfume - Baby Cruising Love
Man, I forgot Perfume was a thing. I love how this song has a hard driving dance beat under it, but still has a really relaxing melody.

Re: What Are You Listening To?: Return of the Mack
I've had The Fray--'How to Save a Life' stuck in my head for a couple days.
It's pretty, but really a bummer. Like, I bet this'd be a really nice song to listen to for someone who didn't know English.

"Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets"
The PA at the store has kicked into this half-Christmas music, half pop-standards/broadway mode. So like, you walk into my store, you're like as not to hear this extremely sensual song literally from a vamp sent by Satan. It's funny, hearing that right after the Jackson Five's 'Santy Claus is Coming to Town'.
Heard two different versions of it last night. I'm fine with it. I like 'Damn Yankees'.

"Baby, It's Cold Outside" in protest of its banning from radio. I don't even like the song but I couldn't believe it was banned, so I gave it a view and a like on YouTube to support it.
Also both the English and Japanese versions of "Blizzard" by Daichi Miura from Dragon Ball Super: Broly, not sure which one I like more. I think I'm leaning toward the Japanese one. I can't find a full version of the English one though so it's hard to tell.

Re: What Are You Listening To?: Return of the Mack
'Baby It's Cold Outside' sucks. I don't care that it's been banned, it's still in the rotation at my store, because it's vagely holiday-related and not a hymn. I hear some version of it about once an hour all through December, and I hate its filthy guts. It's revolting.
Even if it weren't garbage, I'd still hate it as a matter of course, because my extended family insists on having a huge fruity singalong of it at the day-after-christmas party every year. All of these cousins and once-removeds and aunties and dirty uncles, having a big group-hug, smiling at each other whilst singing this lame song about some sleazo perv trying to talk a lady into bed. Ish da.

Re: What Are You Listening To?: Return of the Mack
I definitely agree it sucks, but mainly because I think old music in general sucks. There's even hardly anything in the 80's worth listening to, let alone prior. Once we go back to the 50's or 40's or who knows when Cold Outside came out, it's pretty much a given it is gonna suck. Nostalgia is the only thing keeping stuff like that alive. You don't get songs like "Walk The Dinosaur" or "Kung Fu Fighting" now because we know better. I'm not much for music at all really, but at least we're not making music that will be used as memes 20 years from now.

^...don't talk down on 'Walk the Dinosaur'.
'Walk the Dinosaur' gave rise to this.
'Kung Fu Fighting' is cool, too. If those are your best examples of bad music from the 70s and 80s, then you're in the wrong dojo, homey.

Not listening to anything. Why is this important? Because just putting on my noise-canceling headphones blocks out my parents' annoying arguement.

DKC remix album called Treetop Tunes, by Pixel Mixers. its really good, you got songs from the original DKC trilogy (with both SNES and GBA DKC3 soundtracks) as well as Returns and Tropical Freeze. some songs are reorchestrations of the originals and some are completely reconceptualized, but its all good.

I looked up a recent SU song. Titular melody from the episode 'Escapism'. Real heartstring-puller. It's pretty, and nice.

the Prodigy - 'Champions of London'
It's very much the Prodigy with a more drumstep style, from their newest

'Bulldozer'
It's in the OST for 'Slaps and Beans', and it's one of the awesomest things I've ever heard in my life.
